Wind farm plans in the middle mark: Mayor restricts building permits

Treuenbrietzen. The regional plan Wind for Havelland and Fläming saw the light of day, and the authority for joint state planning Berlin-Brandenburg has now given it green light. This decision means that the "wild growth" of the high -tied wind turbines in the area remains under control - a good news for many residents!

Mayor Michael Knape (independent) informed the city council and expressed himself optimistically: "We can prevent new wind turbines with up to 170 meters." These words are music in the ears of the citizens who want to protect the aesthetics of their landscape. But the plans do not quite disappear, because the Energieplan Berlin company still strives for the construction of six new wind turbines in Bardenitz, against the resistance of the residents!

Wind turbines only in priority areas

With the approval of the plan, however, only expansion in the so-called priority areas is possible. These are largely exhausted between the "Hoher Fläming" nature parks, "Nuthe-Nieplitz" and "Westhavelland". The re-powering of old wind turbines is planned, but the space for new wind turbines remains rare. The managing director of the regional planning office, Lutz Klauber, announced: "The publication in the Official Journal is imminent, then the plan comes into force."

in Buckautal one hopes for a turn: Here the critics require that the construction of eight wind turbines in the forest is stopped on the B107. Even if the company Energlan GmbH has positive preliminary notices, the resistance of the municipalities is strong. So the wind blows in an uncertain direction, and the fight against unwanted wind power projects continues!
