A milestone for the mobility turn in Berlin! The listed hall 2 of the model campus Ringberlin has received the coveted pre-certificate "Pre-Certified Good Mobility Gold". This certificate proves that the planned mobility offers for all user groups are not only attractive, but also efficient. A strong signal for the future of mobility in the capital!

"Hall 2 of Ringberlin is a prime example of how we can make historical commercial quarters sustainable," emphasizes Jörn Oltmann, district mayor of Tempelhof-Schöneberg . When handing over the certificate, he was enthusiastic about the progress of the project. Christian Scheler, founder and managing director of the Good Mobility Council , added that preliminary certification is the first step towards a sustainable mobility solution. The collaboration continues to reach the next milestones.

Sustainable mobility solutions in focus

A central element of the mobility concept is the connection to the environment, including the development to the Attilastraße S-Bahn station, which is less than two kilometers away. The planning also includes bicycle parking spaces, showers and lockers as well as a repair service for bicycles and charging options for e-bikes. A jelbi station on the ring road will offer sharing options for bicycles, e-scooters and e-cars. Accessibility is also very important, with mechanically supported door openings and wheelchair accessible entrances.

"Sustainability is thought holistically," explains Matthias Menger, managing director of Ringberlin . The Makerspace in Hall 2 will not only offer workshops and office space, but also support innovative companies and start-ups. The completion of the center, which is funded with GRW funds, is planned for the end of 2026. The partnership between Ringberlin and the Good Mobility Council will continue after the pre -certification to make the mobility transition in Berlin decisively.
