Storm depth ensures fire brigade alarm: trees fall on cars and houses!
The Melchiorshausen local fire brigade was alerted on Monday evening at 7:38 p.m. when strong wind caused dangerous situations. A crunched tree fell onto the bonnet of a parked car, which immediately required the fire brigade. The emergency services crushed the tree and removed it from the vehicle. The entire assignment lasted about an hour in which the fire brigade certainly removed the situation, such as Weser-Kurier reported.
The previous event is closely related to the storm winds, which also had devastating effects in other regions of Germany. On Sunday morning, strong wind swept across Berlin and Brandenburg and led to numerous fire brigade operations. Around 105 emergency calls were received via the regional control center in Brandenburg, including two larger missions. In the cities of Trebbin and Blankenfelde-Mahlow, massive trees fell into single-family houses, but no people were harmed. In several other cases, trees and branches blocked the lanes or damaged emergency vehicles. The Potsdam fire brigade also had to move out several times because damage to roofs and vehicles were reported there. The fire brigade in Berlin was used more than 40 times, mainly due to fallen trees and falling parts. This can be seen from a report by t-online
