Strangic crisis threatens: Abolition of the feed -in tariff hits waves!

A dramatic break in Berlin could have fatal consequences for solar energy in Germany. The traffic light coalition had planned a reform of the feed-in tariff for electricity from photovoltaic systems, which, however, failed before the final decision. Now leading energy companies, including the providers Enpal and 1komma5 °, are warning of far -reaching consequences. In the worst case, from 2025 no electricity could be fed into the network from the solar roof systems, they warn, and thus underline the urgency of a regulation that should be decided before the new elections, such as FR.de

Currently, solar systems with an output of up to 10 kW are paid, with eight cents being paid for each kilowatt hour, regardless of market prices. However, this feed -in tariff is financed from the federal budget and already cost 2.6 billion euros in September 2024. Experts warn that unregulated feed -in of solar power could lead to unstable network situations, especially in regions where the expansion of solar systems is booming, as in south and southwest Germany. Without the planned reform, the oversupply of solar power could endanger the security of supply, since more and more private facilities are feeding electricity without control, so bundesnetzagentur.de .

The demand for controllability of the solar energy

In order to secure stability in the power grid, experts demand the introduction of "smart meters" for all new solar installations. These intelligent electricity meters would enable network operators to flexibly control the feed -in and avoid problematic feed -in peaks. However, only one percent of households in Germany currently has this technology. The traffic light coalition had decided to accelerate the introduction, but whether this can actually be implemented by 2025 remains uncertain. The political situation is tense, and the approval of the Union to the plans is likely to be difficult to achieve in the current situation.
