Sternsinger from Senden represent Münster at the Chancellor reception 2025!

Berlin, Deutschland - An exciting event is imminent! At the beginning of 2025, Chancellor Olaf Scholz welcomes the star singers from all over Germany in Berlin. The great honor to represent the diocese of Münster falls on four talented children from the parish of St. Laurentius Senden in the Coesfeld district. These little ambassadors of good will have prevailed in an exciting selection process and will be included in the reception in the Chancellery.

The anticipation is huge! A total of 108 star singers from 27 German dioceses in Berlin are expected to continue the tradition of Dreikönigssingen, which has enriched the Federal Chancellery since 1984. This action is not only a festive occasion, but also a powerful sign of the rights of children worldwide. The motto for 2025, "raise your voice! Star singing for children's rights", emphasizes that every child has the right to food, education and protection against violence. The nationwide opening of the campaign will take place on December 28th in Paderborn.

Since the first campaign in 1959, the star singers have collected incredible 1.36 billion euros for projects to support children in need. This impressive sum comes from the heart of the small kings and queens who work for their peers in Africa, Latin America, Asia, Oceania and Eastern Europe. The campaign is supported by the children's mission work "Die Sternsinger" and the Federation of German Catholic Youth (BDKJ) and remains an important symbol of solidarity and charity.
