Soling women lose exciting against Halle: a fight without reward!

Solingen. In a gripping duel in the Klingenhalle, the HSV Solingen had to add another short defeat. Against the SV Union Halle-Neustadt, the game ended with 25:26 (11:11) and left the fans disappointed. After a disastrous 25: 36 defeat in Berlin, the pressure on the team of coach Jonas Schlender was enormous. But despite a courageous appearance, it was not enough for the longed -for victory.

The first minutes of the game were shaped by nervousness, both teams fought for every ball. Melina Fabisch, who started in the right back room, showed a solid performance and led her team to an interim compensation at 25:25. But Halle countered immediately and secured the victory with a goal from Madeleine Ostlund into the empty goal after Schlender had put everything on one card.

The second half offered the audience a real nerve game. With more routine by Lara Karathanassis and Zoe Stens, the HSV tried to regain control. Jessie van de Ruit increased and brought the team on course, but final weaknesses let the opponent come into play. From 14:14 the game was completely open, and an exciting back and forth developed. In the end it was Halle that took the two points home with one mistake. A bitter setback for the Solingen women, who now have to prepare for the next challenges.
