This morning, January 7, 2025, the Berlin public prosecutor's office carried out around 100 search resolutions in several districts of Berlin and in Templin. The raids focused on the districts of Reinickendorf, Schöneberg, Gesundbrunnen, Schmargendorf, Kreuzberg, Tempelhof, Friedrichshain and Tiergarten.

The Berlin police, the Brandenburg police, the main customs offices in Berlin and Potsdam as well as the tax office for searchers and criminal matters in Berlin were involved in the searches. In the actions, around 155,000 euros, around 180 grams of cocaine, ecstasy tablets, various written documents and a car were confiscated. Four accused aged 24 to 33 are suspected of being involved in the operation of a car rental. The main allegation is to fraud by deceiving about the intended use of the vehicles in insurance contracts. Since 2021, they are said to have saved at least around 45,000 euros in insurance premiums through this stitch, reports PNR24 .

In addition, there is a suspicion that the vehicles were financed with money from crimes, a total of around 205,000 euros. In particular, a 33-year-old suspected “head” of the group and a 32-year-old co-suspended money was thrown. A 24-year-old suspect is said to have managed the funds out of crimes for the main suspect, while another 24-year-old is said to have achieved regular income through drug trade.
