The Ostdeutsche Eisenbahn GmbH (ODEG) started a wide campaign to win career changers for the positions of the driver and train attendant in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania. The initiative is aimed at people without specific previous knowledge and experienced specialists who want to take the step into the railway industry. The need for employees is enormous against the background of the high passengers, which include around 33 million passengers annually.
The ODEG, the largest private railway in eastern Germany, operates 17 lines over a distance of around 1,790 kilometers and uses 86 yellow-green trains.
