Speculation about a possible takeover of the Austrian motorcycle manufacturer KTM through BMW Motorcycle reaches a new highlight. As OE24 has published a much-discussed social-media post in which motorcycles in striking KTM orange were shown next to a BMW M3. Despite the official silence of BMW about the takeover rumors and the rapid deletion of the posting, the company further fueled the rumor mill. The situation at KTM is tense. The company, a subsidiary of Pierer Mobility AG, had to initiate bankruptcy proceedings at the end of November 2024.
