Rock and punk: billions conquer the stages of Hamburg with new freedom!

The story of billions is a captivating journey through the world of music! Ben Hartmann and Johannes Aue, who met during their studies of acting, immediately discovered their differences and the associated attraction. In 2013 they founded the Rockduo billions and remained inseparable as a creative team. Talented musicians join the live implementation of their powerful songs and in the studio, who, according to Hartmann, are all better instrumentalists than the two founders. But the texts and compositions come exclusively from Hartmann and Aue, who started their musical journey in childhood.

The beginnings of the two musicians go back to their childhood when they grew up in the prefabricated building in Berlin-Marzahn-Hellersdorf. Her neighbor, a kindergarten teacher, taught them the first chords on the guitar. These early musical influences opened the door to a new world. Punk became the response to the challenges of their youth when they defended themselves against the emerging right -wing currents. With colorful shoelaces and Iroques haircuts, they showed their rebellion and found a voice in music that embodied their humanistic beliefs.

After the publication of two albums, "fraudsters" (2016) and "Berlin" (2018), Hartmann and Aue 2020 felt the urge for more independence. They founded their own “sugar plate” label, on which their current album “guilty” appeared in 2021. This decision marks a significant step in your career, since you now have full control over your music and its presentation. Billions remain a powerful symbol for creative freedom and musical authenticity!
