Process against alleged murderers: 80-year-old after Schüusen seriously injured

Five months after a shocking crime that shook the Berlin neighborhood, the trial against two alleged perpetrators begins on Tuesday, who almost killed an 80-year-old in his apartment. The accused, a 31-year-old woman, and a 48-year-old man are in court for attempted murder and heavy robbery. The dark act occurred on May 31 in Berlin-Lichtenberg when the two penetrated the victim's apartment under an excuse and added the most serious injuries to him with several shots.

The public prosecutor reports that both the perpetrators and the victim are Portuguese citizens and have known themselves for a long time. The 31-year-old had served the senior as a translator. But this supposed friendship became a nightmare: the two defendants stolen cash in a four-digit height and left the 80-year-old bleeding. But the victim's courage was unbroken - despite his serious injuries, he managed to make an emergency call before losing consciousness.

The process and the investigation

The two suspects were caught a week after the terrible incident. The process, which is scheduled until December 6th, is expected to include nine days of negotiation. The public is excited to see which details will come to light and whether justice can be produced for the victim. The dramatic events in Berlin-Lichtenberg throw a shadow on the supposed security in the city and show how quickly trusting violence can become.
