Lichtenberg: close offices and libraries - important information for citizens!

Berlin. in Lichtenberg will take a massive standstill on Wednesday, November 27, 2024! Almost all offices and libraries remain closed. What does that mean for the citizens? Here are the burning details!

The district office has announced that on this day Citizens' Office 1 in Neu-Hohenschönhausen, the Bürgeramt 3 in Friedrichsfelde and the training citizenship in Alt-Hohenschönhausen are completely close. Only the Bürgeramt 2 in Normannenstrasse 1–2 will be open. The reason for this drastic measure? An important staff meeting in the Lichtenberg district office! So if you have planned a passage of the authorities, you should urgently reschedule, because the registry office and the housing office are also unavailable on this day - neither personally nor by telephone!

Closets and emergency occupations

The Bürgeramt 3 in Otto-Schmirgal-Straße 1–5 remains closed even longer! From November 25th to 29th, 2024 there will be basic cleaning, and no one can be reached during this time. If you want to pick up documents, you have to go to Citizens' Office 2 - but be careful: an appointment is imperative!

The Office for Regionalized Ordinary Tasks will also be closed for public traffic on Wednesday and can only be reached to a limited extent. For emergencies, an emergency line -up in general order service will be available. Citizens are urgently asked to contact the Berlin police in urgent concerns.

Libraries also affected

The four library locations in Lichtenberg are also affected by the closure and remain all day. A bright spot: In the Anton-Saekow library, users can return their media through the new outdoor return. In the health department, on the other hand, some services such as the child and youth health service and the hygiene area for infection protection remain available on this day.
