Cabaret price of the EDDI 2024: Katrin Weber excellent
In a glamorous ceremony in the Kulturhaus Karlshorst, the renowned Eddi cabaret award was awarded to Katrin Weber on October 2, 2024. Weber, known as an actress, musical actress, singer and cabaret artist, impressed the audience with her versatile talent. The accompaniment of the evening was the pianist Rainer Vothel, who perfectly accompanied the performance of Weber.
The EDDI price has been awarded "Eddi" Külow since 2014 in memory of actor and cabaret artist Edgar "Eddi". He recognizes personalities, soloists and ensembles who protrude with political satire, social criticism and individual points of view in the public life of the Federal Republic. The EDDI statuette, designed by sculptor Esther Brockhaus, is a tribute to Edgar Külow, who lived in Lichtenberg. In addition to the statuette and prize money, the price also includes the honor of receiving the distinctive EDDI statuette.
The previous winners include well -known cabaret artists such as Christian Ehring, Christine Prayon, Simone Solga, Thomas Freitag, Meigl Hoffmann, Michael Hatzius and the ensemble "Die Distel". By awarding the cabaret price, the artistic work of these outstanding personalities is recognized and their influence on the German cabaret scene is recognized. The awarding of the EDDI cabaret price is therefore an important event in the German cabaret scene and underlines the diversity and excellence of the cabaret in Germany.
