Forecasts indicate that the own shares could be between 2,500 and 2,750 euros by the end of 2023 and between 3,000 and 4,800 euros by 2029.

In order to reduce the financial burden of those in need of care, Eugen Brysch from the Patient Protection Foundation demands capping of the own shares and subsidies through insurance. In addition, the federal states are given responsibility to take on training and investment costs.
