Around two and a half weeks after the devastating attack on the Magdeburg Christmas market, the federal victim representative Roland Weber has a high level of aid needs among those affected. Around 400 people were contacted and received information about offers of help. The increasing demand for support is particularly noticeable in the psychosocial advisory phone, which records many registrations.
A round table will take place for the second time on Monday, January 13th to help over 500 affected people quickly and specifically. The aim is to make a low -threshold offer to those affected to avoid possible stress reactions. According to the law, every psychological care is entitled to. The attack occurred shortly before Christmas when a 50-year-old drove a car across the Christmas market, which led to six dead and almost 300 injuries. The perpetrator, a man from Saudi Arabia, is currently in custody.
