Greiz in conversation: Future projects for a better city!

The "Make Germany better" initiative, funded by the Körber Foundation, is committed to dialogue between citizens via their cities. According to a report by Tomorrow , new cities can register for participation in this initiative by January 31, 2025. This platform promotes exchange about local topics and projects, whereby this year's focus is on "local climate projects".

Last year, the city of Greiz carried out ten table talks on various topics such as gastronomy and barrier mining. This project, "make Greiz better", is also supported by the Körber Foundation. The foundation has been supporting a total of 22 cities and regions since 2022. For the funding period 2025 and 2026, there is the possibility that up to five other cities apply for participation.

planned workshops and support

An important part of the initiative are workshops that will take place in Hamburg in June 2025. After these workshops, table talks with city actors and counties are planned to further deepen the topics discussed. The urban administration is supported by a fee that will help with the implementation of the projects.

The Körber Foundation, which is active through the promotion of social development using dialogue and communication, has its headquarters in Hamburg and another location in Berlin. It was founded in 1959 by entrepreneur Kurt A. Körber and conducts innovative projects nationwide as part of the "Germany better - with the future -oriented city".
