Equal position check from 2025: Paus announces important changes!

In Berlin, the celebrations for the 2nd nationwide day of equality take place today, where around 750 committed personalities from associations, administration, science and politics come together in order to make the topic of equality. Under the motto "Together: Change - Change is made with equality", the participants put on social change from an equal opportunities policy.

A future -oriented step was announced by Lisa Paus , the Federal Minister for Family, Seniors, Women and Youth. From 2025 the Federal Foundation Equality will support the federal ministries in the equality check. This means a massive strengthening of an instrument that serves to analyze the effects of new laws on gender equality. In her opening speech, Paus emphasized the importance of this project for promoting equality in legislation.

the start Prof. Dr. Jutta Allmendinger with a thrilling keynote that addressed central social challenges such as climate change, digitization and the rise of anti -feminism. Around 30 workshops and panel discussions are on the program, which deal with potential for a fairer future. Accompanying the Federal Foundation, the Federal Foundation organizes a trade fair with around 40 organizations that presents its projects and offers opportunities for networking.

A historical moment is celebrated in the evening program: 30 years ago, the Basic Law was expanded to include a decisive provision for equality that obliges the state to proactive enforcement of equality between women and men. In a final panel, top -class experts discuss, including prof. Dr. Ute Gerhard and the lawyer asha hedayati , on the relevance of this achievement and the transformation ability of society to strengthen democracy.
