Free workshop: climate protection through nutrition!
In the district central library Pablo Neruda in Berlin, there is an important workshop entitled "What our food has to do with the climate". This workshop is directed by Tobias Bach and Rui Montez von Kate e.V. and accompanies the exhibition "Climate Snacks", which can be seen on the 2nd floor of the library from September 30 to November 26, 2024. District Mayor Clara Herrmann informs about the event, which takes place on Thursday, October 10th from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.
The workshop addresses the complex relationships between nutrition and climate change. Participants have the opportunity to learn more about the climate silence of different foods and the historical origins of our diets. Strategies are also presented to make your own consumption more climate -friendly and more solid.
The content of the workshop includes the basics of the greenhouse effect, the influence of various foods on the climate, the historical connection of our diet with colonialism and approaches to design a more climate -friendly consumption.
The workshop is aimed at everyone interested who are interested in sustainable diets and the effects of consumption on the climate. Admission is free, registration is required and can be carried out at the following link.
