Blumberger Damm, Ecke Zinndorfer Straße, 12679 Berlin, Deutschland - in Marzahn-Hellersdorf, Berlin, there were violent fire incidents during the night, which the fire brigade put on alert several times. As reported, the forces had to go out to a fire at the school premises of the elementary school "under the rainbow" at around 2.25 a.m., where a wooden seat was on fire. This fire was deleted quickly. But just an hour later, at 3.25 a.m., residents reported burning garbage containers in a nearby square. This fire could also be contained quickly, as the Berliner Zeitung reported. A third alarm followed due to a fire that damaged a stair lift. A fire commissioner from the Berlin State Criminal Police Office has started the investigation and checks whether there is arson and whether the incidents are related.
In early Wednesday morning, just a few days later, another fire seriously injured two people. This happened at the Blumberger Damm, corner of Zinndorfer Straße. In this incident, a garbage can ignited in front of a building, which led to the destruction of several windows and produced strong smoke. Five residents had to be evacuated, while 35 firefighters quickly intervened to extinguish the fire. The Mitteldeutsche Zeitung reported that a specialist commissioner of the police also initiated an investigation, while no further information on the injured were.
