Eisbären Berlin fight against the cold: a fundraising campaign starts!
The Eisbären Berlin set a strong sign for the cold aid. Together with their fans and the Gasag, they call for an important fundraising campaign that will take place on January 17th and 19th at the home games against the Straubing Tigers and the Fischtown Pinguins. This initiative is aimed at offering homeless people in Berlin through the Kaltebus.
The donations collected will benefit the Kaltbus, the task of which is to help the needy in the cold season. Winter clothing (especially for men), winter shoes, underwear, sleeping bags, woolen blankets and hygiene items, which should only be released in original packaged condition, are required. The clothes donations should be clean and in good condition.
donation and sock package
The possibility of donation exhaustion exists before the games at Mildred-Harnack-Straße 11. The main collecting point is supervised by fanks. Questions about submitting the donations can be addressed to the fan representative Holger Wende and Flo Eckart.
For those who cannot come to the games, there is also the possibility to give clothes from Monday to Friday between 8 a.m. and 6 p.m. directly at the Berlin city mission (Lehrter Straße 68, 10557 Berlin). There will also be a sock package for all home games in January that contains a few exclusive polar bear socks and another couple for the cold bus. These sock packages can be selected in the ticket online shop.
A further perspective on the subject of cold help shows the participation of Lucas Noll (27) and Robert Heide (32) in the "Baltic Sea Circle" car rally. This rally, which leads around the Baltic Sea, also has a charitable purpose. The route extends over Denmark, Norway, the North Cape, the Finnish Lake District, Estonia, Lithuania, Poland and Kaliningrad, whereby the two participants drove in a Nissan Patrol from 1989.
Preparation for the rally included various measures, such as installation of better heating and special winter tires, in order to meet the challenges of the cold season. Communication during the journey took place in several languages as well as pantomime and finger -scale, since modern navigation devices, GPS and motorway rides were prohibited. The aim of this rally was also to collect donations for the cold aid of the Berlin city mission and thus support people who are outside in winter.
