The numbers speak volumes: From 1,082 ads in 2019, the number of violations rose to terrifying 1,561 in 2023! Violence protection orders are a crucial instrument to protect victims of domestic violence, mostly women, from further threats by their perpetrators. These orders often contain strict measures such as a ban on entering the victim's apartment, bans in residence near the victim and even complete bans. But despite these protective measures, the perpetrators seem to remain unimpressed, which explains the alarming numbers.

It is particularly worrying that most of the violations in the Mitte, Neukölln and Tempelhof-Schöneberg district of Berlin were registered.
