S-Bahn chaos in Berlin: Important lines interrupted by the end of November!

Berlin-Charlottenburg, Deutschland - The S-Bahn passengers in Berlin-Charlottenburg have to adjust to a massive change! From Monday, November 18, at 4 a.m., the popular lines S3, S7 and S9 will be interrupted for several weeks. The traffic between Charlottenburg and Grunewald/Olympic Stadium will be discontinued by November 29 at 3 p.m. The cause? Urgent track work around Westkreuz station! However, there is a bright spot for the affected passengers: replacement traffic on buses is set up to support travelers.

important changes for the S-Bahn users

But that's not all! During this construction work there is also an exchange of the final stations for lines S1 and S7 in the south. The S1 will take over the S7 route between Wannsee and Potsdam Hauptbahnhof. So travelers should prepare well and adapt their routes accordingly.

Particular attention is paid to the home game of Hertha BSC in the Olympic Stadium on November 23 at 1 p.m. The S-Bahn urgently warns the fans: plans more time for arrival and departure and uses alternative means of transport! For the entire construction period, the S-Bahn recommends taking the S1 between Friedrichstrasse and Potsdam Hauptbahnhof and using the U7 between Charlottenburg (U Wilmersdorfer Straße) and Spandau (U Rathaus Spandau). Be prepared and do not be stopped by the construction work!
