Rönnestrasse becomes a cyclist oasis: construction work is now going on!

Rönnestraße 7, 10627 Berlin, Deutschland - Rönnestrasse becomes a big change to the scene! On behalf of the Charlottenburg-Wilmersdorf street and green area office, the construction work has started to transform the road into a bicycle-friendly paradise. The old cobblestones are replaced by a smooth asphalt ceiling, and all of this happens between Stuttgart Square and the Holtzendorffstraße. A real progress for all cyclists!

But be careful! The construction work is carried out in two sections under full closure. The first section affects Rönnestrasse between house number 7 and Stuttgarter Platz and is completely blocked for about six to eight weeks. After completing this phase, depending on the weather conditions, the second section will follow, which affects Rönnestrasse to Holtzendorffstrasse. The residents have to adjust to some diversions!

less noise, more comfort!

The goal of this comprehensive construction work? A smooth, paved road that makes cycling a lot easier and at the same time reduces the noise pollution for the residents. The side rooms of the street remain with cobblestones, but a wider joint image is used that improves the infiltration of rainwater. A clever move for the environment!

The project is financed by means of the special fund infrastructure of the growing city and sustainability fund (Siwana) of the Senate Administration. The construction work is carefully coordinated with the road traffic authority and the Senate Department for Mobility, Transport, Climate Protection and the Environment. The Department of Tiefbau Charlottenburg-Wilmersdorf and the commissioned construction company work hand in hand to drive the work quickly. The anticipation for a modernized Rönnestrasse is great!
