Bakery Wiedemann helps: School brings communication aids for everyone!
Berliner Straße, 13587 Berlin, Deutschland - In the Wiedemann bakery on Berliner Strasse there is now a groundbreaking innovation! Pupils of the Finkenkrug School brought two sensational devices with them who revolutionize shopping for people with language impairments: a language image frame and a Quicktalker. Finally, ordering is also a child's play for people who cannot speak well!
The excitement is tangible when Jan tried the picture frame that is strategically placed on the sales counter. With a simple pressure on a symbol, he shows: "I want to buy something!" The seller Kirsten Beinroth reacts immediately and hands him the Quicktalker. With a quick finger pressure on the cake button, Jan's desire for a sweet snack.
a voice for everyone!
The two devices are not just technical gadgets; They are key to communication for many who have difficulty expressing themselves due to autistic or mental impairments. "Simply pressing the keys makes the devices outline the desired sound," explains Kirsten Ulrich, the headmistress. "This is a fantastic way to break barriers!"
The Finkenkrug School, a support center for intellectual development, actively participates in the international month of promoting communication. Over half of the 120 students rely on such aids. "This campaign is the perfect opportunity to make supporting communication more visible," says Christoph Harder, teacher at the school. The spontaneous support of the bakery shows how important inclusion is in everyday life. Hopefully this great commitment also inspires other shops to provide similar devices. Because everyone, whether with or without language skills, deserves it to be heard!
