Berlin in chaos: Scholz and Merz - politics or popcorn?

Berlin, Deutschland - Berlin (ots)

Imagine that you come back to Germany from a break on a lonely island and immediately recognize that the political traffic light is on red! A tangible conflict between Chancellor Olaf Scholz and the Union causes confusion and chaos when the two sides struggle for the time of the question of trust in the air. On January 15, Scholz wants to ask the question while the Union insists that this has to be done first. He escalates, while Scholz offers one after the other to possibly clarify the question of trust earlier - a determination that comes across deaf ears.

Is a political bazaar organized here, while citizens look from the outside, shocked about the inability of their leadership? The situation is worrying. The people in the country long for clarity and action, not for a political spectacle. The grief is that important laws fall by the wayside, such as the protection of the constitutional court against extremist influences. The game is played here as if it could be good forever. The consequences of a failed agreement could be catastrophic - a potentially missed the decisive time window to create legal foundations that protect the country from threats.

an appeal for responsibility and size

People have their noses full of "popcorn politics" and the constant back and forth! The impression that the politicians in Berlin prefer to watch each other than work together is increasing. While world events develop around the clock, Scholz and Merz should finally hang the egos on the cloakroom. You have to pull yourself together and find a clear line! A common plan could not only do good to the image of politics, but also take the wind out of the sail of the populist.

Citizens finally want a government that is capable of acting that is able to seriously address the upcoming challenges. A transparent and communal approach in the crisis would be the hoped -for bright spot in these stormy times!
