A new era started in Weilheim! Mayor Markus Loth proudly celebrated the opening of the impressive combination building in Krumpperstraße, which not only houses a state-of-the-art energy center, but also a large parking garage and a hall for fire engines. This mega project, which cost around 9 million euros, was realized in just 1.5 years and attracts everyone's attention. The dimensions are monumental - 20 to 70 meters, and despite its size, the energy center fits harmoniously into the cityscape!

The lower floor is packed with modern wood chip heating and a combined heat and power plant that not only generates heat but also electricity. "Another milestone for the sustainable development of our district town," cheered Karl Neuner, Managing Director of Stadtwerke. This energy center now also supplies the district office with heat; The official start is only scheduled for next week. The hall, which offers enough space for up to 14 fire engines, ensures that everything can be stored for emergencies in one place. A well thought -out concept!

The parking garage, which is enthroned directly above the energy center and offers space for 100 cars, is reserved for permanent tenants - and the demand is already great! "Half of the parking spaces is already rented," revealed Neuner. This new parking garage will noticeably reduce parking pressure in the city center and is also a magnet for companies that want to offer employee safety in parking spaces. And best of all: it also offers 13 e-charging stations for electric vehicles!

The roof of the parking garage is not only another parking space, but also houses a PV system with an output of almost 100 kilowatt peak and lush meadow areas. The municipal utilities attach great importance to ecological sustainability, even if access to the roof landscape unfortunately remains closed to the public. The new energy center in Weilheim is more than one building - it is a symbol of progress and environmental protection!
