Honorary Matthäus Unsin: A life for Dienhausen and Romania!

Dienhausen, Deutschland - A radiant evening in Denklingen: Matthew Unsin, the tireless helper from Dienhausen, was appointed honorary citizen of the community! Mayor Andreas Braunegger presented the coveted award during a festive citizens' meeting that was filled with around 150 guests. Unsin, which is known as the motor of Romania aid and built the Crescentiapelle, is now the only living honorary ring bearer of the community. A moment full of emotions and recognition for a man who has devoted his life to the support of others!

The 73-year-old unspeaked, a former masonry and tiler, not only got involved in his home community, but also worked far beyond the borders. As a young adult, he was a local spokesman in Dienhausen and took on numerous responsibility in the fire brigade, where he served as commander for 25 years. The first tool shed was built under his lead and a fire engine was purchased. His merits are unmistakable, and the crescentia chapel, which he built in 1990, is considered a "place of strength" for many. This chapel was created from a vow that unspeaked after the healing of his son.

But that's not all! Unsin has been involved in Romania for over 30 years. The shattering impressions of street children and former orphan houses couldn't let him go. Together with helpers, he built a chapel for a home in Hungary and organized numerous aid transports. His tireless initiative and energy were already recognized with the medal of merit of the Federal Republic of Germany. He has also been an honorary citizen of Zagujeni in Romania since 2019.

"No" Saying is not one of his strengths, as his laudator Rudi Geiger aptly noticed. Unsin herself was visibly touched by the honor that he gave him and thanked the local council for the unanimous vote for the award. His passion for the crescentiapelle and the social concerts there are as fulfilling for him as the memories of his time as a fire brigade commander. "Realing and supporting together brings you further," summed up Unsin, who never forgets how he once started empty -handed in Dienhausen. A real hero of the community!
