An exciting visit to the Upper Palatinate! On September 19, 2024, the military officer of the German Bundestag, known for their tireless efforts, put the Major-Radloff barracks in Weiden to the test. The place is a melting pot of military skills, because here two artillery associations of the same group of troops are stationed: the artillery battalion 131 under the command of Lieutenant Colonel Stefan Zadlo, which has been present since 2014, and the brand new armored artillery 375, led by Oberstleutnant Hekja Marlen Werner 2023 is active.

In the barracks you can feel the impressive synergy between the two battalions! The soldiers showed a remarkable collaboration during the discussion rounds that shines outwards. The experienced association 131 not only takes up the new battalion 375, but also brings its decades of expertise. But there are also major challenges: Due to the submission of material and large devices to Ukraine, the associations lack the adorable, potent Potent Panzerhaubitzen 2000. Nevertheless, the visit impressively demonstrated how well the practical training works despite these difficulties.

The military officer was able to take part in two training sections and was visibly impressed by the professionalism with which the soldiers went down to business in the two associations. A real proof of the strength and cohesion of the Bundeswehr in these challenging times!
