Mitterteich, Deutschland - Mitterteich. The tension increases because the Stiftland Dragons finally start the 2024/25 ice hockey season! After a disease -related cancellation against the Höchstadter EC 1B, the group of coach Vaclav Drobny has a new attempt on Friday, November 1st, at 8 p.m., in the home game against EV Weiden 1b. The anticipation is huge, because the opponent is none other than an old rival that has increased a lot before the new season!

The dragons compete a week later than originally planned, but the motivation could not be higher! Drobny, an experienced ice hockey expert, firmly believes in his team's qualities, even if he warns not to consider her as a top favorite. The league has changed a lot because some top opponents like the EHC Regensburg and the Red Dragons rain changed the league. Now only six teams are still fighting in the North District League: Mitterteich, Höchstadt, Weiden, ERV Schweinfurt, ESC Haßfurt 1b and the Eisbären Würzburg.

However, the competition does not sleep. The EV Weiden 1b has already shone with a short 7: 6 victory over Haßfurt and shows that they too want to play in the table at the top. But the dragons didn't sleep either! You have committed two new top players: Master player Marius Schmidt (31) from the Blue Devils Weiden and the talented defender Tobias Spirla (20) from Pilsen, who will strengthen the team enormously.

For the start of the season, those responsible for the EHC Mitterteich came up with a special surprise: Among the audience, a jersey of the team, signed by all players of the 2021/2022 season, is raffled off! That is why the dragons expect a full house full of passionate fans on Friday evening who actively support their team.
