Honor for 4690 years of trade union work - Weiden shows solidarity!

Weiden, Deutschland - pasture. An enthusiastic evening full of gratitude and recognition - that was the anniversary ceremony of the ver.di local association in Rothenstadt. The regional district manager Luise Klement unequivocally underlined that democracy must not pass the access to work. "They helped in their companies to actively help shape working conditions," she told an audience who celebrated the years of joint trade success on this festive occasion.

In her passionate speech, she demanded: "Tariff results do not fall from heaven!", And emphasized the need to strengthen ver.di in order to continue to fight for social rights and the protection of leisure, especially against Sunday work. "We are fighting against the change of the Bavarian state government!" She made it clear.

The honors accompanied district manager Alexander Gröbner, Luise Klement and Bertram Kincl, who proudly presented the awards. Together they sang the song "Brothers to the Sun, for Freedom", an impressive moment of community and solidarity. The honored included Maria Boehm and Tony Eckstein for 25 years, as well as the long-time fighters like Erich Bäumler and Johann Koller, who were recognized for their 65-year membership. A dinner rounded off the celebrations and reminded everyone of the power of solidarity and the importance of union commitment.
