Bäko Oberpfalz honored loyal members and welcomes new managing directors
The Bäko Oberpfalz eG cooperative has changed in the management, which was announced at the annual general meeting in the shooting club. Philipp Beyer was presented as the new managing director, while the previous managing director Walter Beer will pass the passive partial retirement at the end of the month. Marco Ries, the chairman of the Supervisory Board, took on the task of communicating this important step in the company.
In his speech, Ries reported on the positive developments in the past financial year. "The balance sheet is impressive. Now the cooperative has been set up to master the current and future hurdles," said Ries. This shows that the Bäko Oberpfalz is well positioned despite the challenging market conditions.

Philipp Beyer, the executive board, also provided an overview of the economic events of 2023. A sales increase of 4.03 percent was recorded to a total of EUR 32 million. The balance sheet profit amounted to 221,000 euros, of which 200,000 euros are used to strengthen the reserves. The remaining amount is paid out to the members as a dividend.
Another impressive factor is the equity ratio of 65.4 percent, which underlines the company's financial stability. The Bäko Oberpfalz currently has 174 members, although there were six departures in the course of the year.

In the context of the meeting, important personnel decisions were also made. The members of the supervisory board were confirmed for another three years, including Gerhard Brunner as deputy chairman of the supervisory board, Robert Pollinger and Herbert Seer. Franz Brunner was newly elected to the supervisory board, which ensures a breath of fresh air in the lead.
Special recognition received master baker Helmut Retzer from Weiden for his remarkable 60-year membership. In addition, several members have been awarded for their loyalty, including Rainer Schlachfer, Stefan Weigl and Roland Paulus, who have been part of the cooperative for 25 years. Long -standing employees such as Werner Röhnert, who has been in operation for 45 years, were also honored.
