In the municipality of Wiedergeltingen, there are exciting news in the area of renewable energies. The municipal council unanimously decided to become a partner of the newly founded Regionalwerk Unterallgäu GmbH. This company aims to promote the energy transition in the region. An amount of up to 130,000 euros is scheduled for participation, although this amount would only apply if at least ten corporations become part of the GmbH. Mayor Norbert Führer was confident that many other communities can be convinced of accession.

The interest in the new society is already great: a total of 27 partners, including 26 municipalities and the district, have signaled interest in participation. If everyone is joining, the investment amount could drop to around 50,000 euros per municipality. "But I firmly assume that we can ultimately convince significantly more municipalities of joining," said Führer before the local council.

Not only is re -involved, the neighboring community of Türkheim is also thinking about joining the regional work. This topic will be discussed at the upcoming meeting of the Türkheim municipal council. "We see a great opportunity in the regional work to integrate the citizens and property owners into the project as best as possible," said the Mayor of Türkheim.
