Beer garden theft in Egerer: Chairs for 1000 euros are missing!

In a surprising and unfortunate developments in the small town Egerer, which belongs to the municipality of Chieming in the Traunstein district, strangers committed the theft in a beer garden in the night from Tuesday to Wednesday. Eight chairs that were set up in an inn were stolen. The total damage for the operator amounts to around 935 euros, which represents a non -negligible sum for a small company.

The crime took place between 8 p.m. on Tuesday evening and 9 a.m. on Wednesday morning. At this point, the chairs were unattended, and the perpetrators apparently took advantage of the darkness to be able to act unnoticed. It is still unclear whether one or more people were involved in the theft.

Investigations by the police

The Traunstein police inspection immediately initiated investigations into this incident. The aim of the investigators is to clarify the identity of the perpetrators and get the stolen chairs that represent high value for the restaurant. The officials ask the population for help: Anyone who can provide relevant information is asked to report on 0861/9873-0. Even smaller observations could possibly be decisive for the clarification of this case.

The Chieming region is not only characterized by its picturesque landscapes and the hospitality of its citizens, but also by a strong community that does not want to accept such incidents. The local companies already suffer due to economic challenges, and theft in a beer garden that is a popular meeting place during the summer season, the innkeepers hit the inn.
