District Administrator Laumer is part of: A day for equality in Mitterfels!
An exciting day of action for equality for people with disabilities took place in the Straubing-Bogen region! Six politicians, including District Administrator Josef Laumer, slipped into the role of the workers and helped in the KJF workshops. On Tuesday, Laumer was in the brother Konrad Werkstätte Mitterfels and made his promise to experience the valuable work of the employees up close.
The day started in the assembly department, where Laumer diligently assembled fans. The employee Selina Bach explained the processes while the district administrator was enthusiastic about the diversity of job offers. "Everyone can find their job here - easier or more complicated," he enthused. Evi Feldmeier, the managing director of the KJF workshops, underlined the flexibility of the workshops, which are always based on the needs of the employees and open up professional opportunities.
a sign of solidarity
Also in the laundry, Laumer grabbed, sorted, folded and hanged laundry. When he discovered OP clothing from the district clinic, he beamed: "It is nice that the district is also involved here as a client." Workshop councilor Erika Stelzl accompanied him and praised his achievements: "He did all the tasks wonderfully and set a sign of solidarity with the KJF workshops - thank you for that!"
But Laumer also critically commented on the planned abolition of the eligibility of orders to the workshops. "The workshops must be retained. An urgent appeal for the future of the workshops and the support of people with disabilities!
