Musical journey of discovery: Geiselhöringer Stadtkapelle conquers Altmünster

The members of the Geiselhöringer Stadtkapelle have embarked on an exciting journey to the picturesque Salzkammergut to get to know the region and its cultural highlights better. The destination of the exit was the Altmünster market on Lake Traunsee, a place that is well known to many firefighters from the region. The anticipation of the musicians, including their partners and children, was great, and the planning of the club trip was well prepared together.

After her arrival in Altmünster, the first program item was a hearty march, which welcomed the musicians after lunch. Due to the rainy weather, the mood was somewhat clouded. Despite the drizzle, the participants did not allow themselves to spoil the good mood and took a relaxed shipping over the Traunsee, which led them to the other end of the lake. The children had fun, and everyone enjoyed the beautiful backdrop of the lake.

The first evening was dedicated to getting to know each other with those responsible for the local music association. The Geiselhöringer were enthusiastic about the extensive rehearsal rooms and the inviting lounge with bar. For the next day, important agreements were on the agenda, since the 120th anniversary in the district should be celebrated with the blessing of a new fire engine and a Oktoberfest. The Musikverein Altmünster had taken over the musical design for this event, which offered the hostage hearers the opportunity to present themselves.

A special highlight was the appearance of the Stadtkapelle Geiselhöring at the Oktoberfest. This performed a march into the marquee, carried out a tour and finally formed in front of the stage, after a warm welcome by the Kapellmeister of the Altmünster Music Association. Together, a piece of music was performed that went into the hearts of the listeners.

The hospitality of the Altmünsterers was overwhelming, and especially the children and adolescents of the association ensured the physical well -being of the Geiselhöringer musicians. The day ended with a view of the spectacular landscape. The tour group visited the Urzn excursion restaurant on Grundnerberg, from where there was a breathtaking view of the Traunsee and the majestic Traunstein massif. The impressions of this trip will probably be sustainable for a long time.

An exciting return visit was promised by the Kapellmeister of the Altmünster Music Association, even if no concrete plans have been forged yet. The connection between the two musical communities that arose during this exit gives hope to see you again soon.
