Charging in the TheresienCenter: full of bags and dangerous escape!
Straubinger Theresiencenter, 94315 Straubing, Deutschland - On December 10th at 6:30 p.m., theft from an electrical business was displayed in the Straubinger TheresienCenter. A suspected thief stole a music box and a Nintendo Switch with a total value of 379.98 euros. The branch manager confronted the thief when leaving the business, whereupon he fled. A 30-year-old witness watched the scene and followed the fugitive to Wittelsbacher Strasse, but could not stop him. The thief finally pulled an uninhibited object out of his jacket pocket and directed it threateningly on the witness before escaping over a fence. According to the police report, the perpetrator, an already official homeless man, could be identified on the basis of video recordings, as on idowa.de is reported.
New life in the TheresienCenter
In the meantime, the TheresienCenter shows itself in a phase of dynamic changes. The owner Commerz Real AG is investing five million euros in extensive renovation work. The aim is to present the center without vacancies in September of this year - a novelty in its history. According to Wochenblatt.de , all areas have already been rented, including the "vinegar factory" that has been vacant since 2008. In addition to popular shops, well-known brands such as Expert and Rewe remain represented, while new concepts, such as a pop-up store, are also integrated. Mayor Markus Pannermayr sees the comprehensive investments as a decisive step into the future of the shopping center and is optimistic about the further developments.
