KfW Bank: Despite less funding record gain of 1.28 billion euros!
The state sponsoring bank KfW has recorded a dramatic decline in funding in the first nine months of this year! Instead of the impressive 80.8 billion euros from the previous year, only 53.9 billion euros were issued by the end of September 2024. These figures were published by the bank in Frankfurt and show that the times of massive help during the corona pandemic and the energy crisis are over.
The KFW, which has been catapulted to the top of the support banks in the Ukraine crisis in the recent years through extensive state aid packages and support for households and companies in the Ukraine crisis, has nevertheless achieved a remarkable profit. With a group profit of over 1.28 billion euros, the bank exceeded the previous year's value by 60 million euros! KfW CEO Stefan Wintels emphasized that this positive development is crucial in order to continue to support the economy and society in the future. In 2023 a group profit of around 1.56 billion euros is expected.
traditional funding business remains strong
The KfW remains an indispensable partner for medium -sized companies, house builders and students who rely on low -interest loans. In addition, the bank is involved in export and project financing as well as in the promotion of developing and emerging countries. The subsidiary KfW Capital invests in promising start-ups and thus ensures innovative strength in Germany. Despite the falling funding, the KfW remains a stable rock in the surf of the financial landscape!
