Model railway magic in Eggenfelden: Young and old discover new worlds!
On Sunday, November 10th, the model railway club Eggenfelden opened the doors to its excited exhibition in the Rottal-Inn district! On three Sundays in November and January 6, 2025, visitors can dive into the fascinating world of small trains from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. This year there is an exciting innovation: The youth department has developed into its own association, as Chairman Markus Linsmeier proudly announces. "Now we have our own club building, our own board and are independent," he cheered on this important step.
an association that combines generations
The Eggenfelden model railway club has always committed itself to youth work and would like to combine the generations. When preparing for the exhibition, both the youngest member, the three -year -old Luzia and the oldest member, Wolfgang Schüler (99), show great interest in the progress of the association. Students, a long -time member, has built many of the impressive bridges that cross the tracks. He is enthusiastic about the possibilities that modern laser cut technology offers for detailed model buildings.

In the past few months, MEC member Oskar Ulm has created the shell for the new Arnstorfer train station, which is supposed to complement the Rottalbahn. The train station in Simbach am Inn is now ready and is waiting for the track expansion! The exhibitors have filed many small details, and visitors can be excited to see how many discover the small elephants, which is hidden in the bushes on one of the systems. The exhibition promises to become a real festival for model railroad lovers!
