In the past few days, numerous traffic accidents have been reported in the Allgäu, which are mainly due to smooth roads. According to a report of the Allgäuer Zeitung , both the police and the towing services had to struggle with more than a dozen accidents, with most of the incidents in the Oberallgäu and Ostallgäu took place. On Sunday morning, an 18-year-old driver in Sonthofen drove against the railing of a bridge in smooth road conditions, which resulted in a damage effort of 10,000 euros. An incident was similar in Immenstadt when a 68-year-old driver also hit a smooth road against a street lamp while his vehicle was still equipped with summer tires. In these turbulent days there were further accidents in the Ostallgäu, with total damage of around 25,000 euros, which was caused by snow -covered and slippery roads. A striking accident in Westendorf occurred when an unknown driver crashed into a bridge railing and then fled.
