Puma and Lebenshilfe: creative bags for a good cause!
The cooperation between Puma and Lebenshilfe Nuremberg Land brings the creative power of people with intellectual disabilities to new life. Colorful backpacks, shoppers and shoulder bags, which were sewn from old Puma advertising banners, are the result of this inspiring cooperation. By the end of 2025, around 1,000 such bags are to be created in the Lebenshilfe workshops, as managing director Dennis Kummarnitzky reports. The idea came from a discarded bouncy castle that was converted into a new product by employees. This innovative initiative relies on the motto: "Use old reusing and integration". The label "Puma X Lebenshilfe" proudly adorns every article and gives the collection a special grade, such as "https://www.br.de/nachrichten/wirtschafts/wirtschaft/gelungen-kooperation-kooper-naeht-fuer-fuer-puma.uxhr88a"> Br.de
unique opportunities for people with disabilities
The collaboration between the two partners has also created a positive response among life aid employees. Kummarnitzky describes it as a "Champions League" for his employees who were able to participate in the collection. Puma not only supports Lebenshilfe by providing materials, but is also involved in social projects, such as a sports festival for children. The Lebenshilfe Nürnberger Land, which has been maintaining workshops for people with disabilities since 1994, offers valuable professional rehabilitation without pressure to perform, as can be seen in the profile of Lebenshilfe. The workshops, which are centrally located in the west of Nuremberg, in particular support people with cognitive restrictions and promote their integration into working life, which is underlined by this engagement.
