Tigers disappoint again: 1: 4 defeat against Nuremberg shocked fans!

Another bitter setback for the Straubing Tigers! On Wednesday evening, the Tigers experienced a frustrating defeat against the Nuremberg Ice Tigers in the ice stadium at the powder tower, which ended 1: 4 (0: 1, 0: 1, 1: 2). Before 4791 disappointed fans, the Tigers showed a weak performance, characterized by inaccuracies and a lack of punch. The guests from Middle Franconia, clever and dangerous, took the lead through Cole Maier in the 17th minute and Eugen Alanov in the 23rd minute.

The Tigers' hopes seemed to flare up again in the 55th minute when Philip Samuelsson scored the connecting goal. But just a minute later, Charlie Gerad restored the old gap and suffocated the catch -up in the bud. Evan Barratt put the crown on the whole when he hit the empty goal in the 58th minute. The fans left the stadium disappointed, while the team of coach Tom Pokel seemed unsettled and agile despite their efforts.

The Landshut Fabio Wagner (ERC Ingolstadt), Tom Kühnhackl (Mannheim) and Luis Schinko (Grizzlys Wolfsburg) can also be found in the Deb squad.
