Nuremberg in court: exit from Allianz against right -wing extremism?

Nürnberg, Deutschland - A dramatic court ruling shakes the city of Nuremberg! The Bavarian Administrative Court has decided that the city should leave the “Allianz against right -wing extremism”. But the decision has not yet been carved in stone! Nuremberg has the opportunity to appeal to the Federal Administrative Court and is waiting for the written reasoning before further steps are taken.

The city of Nuremberg, a founding member of the Allianz who is committed to racism and anti -Semitism, is faced with severe allegations. According to the court, Allianz has repeatedly made a position against the AfD in the past. This is rated as a violation of the legal obligation to neutrality. The AfD district association Nuremberg/Schwabach had filed the lawsuit after the city council voted against an exit. While the Ansbach Administrative Court was still right, the higher instance was less forgiving.

City spokesman gives out the next steps

City spokesman Andreas Franke emphasizes that an immediate exit is not necessary. The city will inform the city council about a proposal for how to proceed, possibly already in the December meeting. In total, the city has four weeks to make revision and another four weeks to justify them. Allianz is concerned and asks the democratic factions in the city council to tackle the judgment together. "We don't let ourselves be kept," explains the chairman Stephan Doll.

The situation remains tense and it is unclear what effects the judgment could have on other municipalities. The Bavarian City Day is reserved for the time being and does not advise its members to leave Allianz. The written justification of the judgment could be crucial for the next steps in this explosive case.
