Flood warning for pastures: residents have to be careful!

On January 7, 2025, a flood warning for the city of Weiden and the district of Neustadt a.d.waldnaab was released. The warning is valid from 9:15 p.m. on January 7th to 4:00 p.m. on January 8, 2025. This measure was issued due to the intensive rainfall and the snow melting that leads to increased water levels.

The forecasts of the German Weather Service indicate upcoming thaw and additional rains. As a result of these developments, the Pressath/Haidenaab level has increased to the MS 1 warning level, but no increase in warning level MS 2 is expected. Residents are strongly recommended to find out about the current weather and flood developments and take appropriate precautions.
