Farewell to Main Commissioner Zehent: Vohenstrauß celebrates police directors!

An important day for the Vohenstrauß police inspection: The long -time boss, first police chief commissioner Martin Zehent, was officially retired. For over a decade, he had carried the office and thus the security of the approximately 29,000 citizens in his territory under his umbrella. In the town hall hall, police chief Thomas Schöniger honored the extraordinary merits of Zete, who started his career in the middle service in 1980 and brought it to the management of the inspection.

The farewell was characterized by warm emotions: around 100 guests, including political and legal representatives, said goodbye to tens. His career was not only characterized by steady ascent, but above all by tireless commitment to the police and the security of the citizens. The change is enormous for the inspection, because now police chief Dominik Plank ad interim takes over the management. The 34-year-old, who has good experience in fighting crime, will direct the fortunes of inspection in the next six months.

The new course under Dominik Plank

Plank, who lives in the Tirschenreuth district and has a family, takes over at a time when continuity and operational readiness are required. With his passion for hiking and cycling, he brings fresh swing to police work. His predecessors have laid him a solid foundation stone on which he can now build up. The joy of the conscientious work and the commitment to the citizens will continue to be the main pillars of the Vohenstrauß police inspection.
