Neuburg's book tower shines in new splendor after 33 years!
Séter Platz, Neuburg, Deutschland - A radiant day for Neuburg! After 33 years, the book tower shines in new splendor and was officially reopened on Tuesday. Vice Mayor Johann Habermeyer praised the investments in the striking building on Séter Platz, which was opened in 1991. The initial reviews of supposed waste have long been silent - today the book tower is a popular attraction for citizens. After five weeks of intensive renovation work, visitors can now look forward to a modern, multifunctional building.
a magnet for downtown
originally planned as a café, the book tower has developed into a living library, which now also houses a café. With 40,000 visitors annually, the book tower is an indispensable part of city life. "The city is committed to the modernization to the book tower," emphasized Habermeyer and praised the 100,000 euros that flowed into the renovation. Among the guests were city library head Stefanie Martin and head of cultural office Marieluise Kühnl, who were happy about the successful redesign.
a humorous start
The opening ceremony was not only festive, but also amusing: every time applause opened on the ground floor, the noise lights on the first floor raised the alarm and ensured laughter among those present. Martin thanked her team and everyone involved for the excellent cooperation. The new lending counter, which was previously considered an obstacle, now ensures a pleasant ambience in which the employees can feel comfortable. The book tower is back - and it is better than ever!
