Winter onset in Bavaria: 20 centimeters of fresh snow threaten!

Nürnberger Land, Deutschland - A winter slump is currently causing excitement in Bavaria! On Sunday, December 8th, the German Weather Service (DWD) found that the snow border will decrease significantly in the coming days. In the higher locations of the Free State, especially in the Alps, up to 20 centimeters of fresh snow are possible, while the precipitation in flatter areas is more likely to fall as rain. Mercury reported that the warning of smooth roads should not be underestimated from Sunday evening.

At the beginning of the second weekend in Advent, wet and cloudy weather spreads throughout Germany. According to a report by FOCUS the DWD awaits, with temperatures between five and eight degrees. The wet conditions are denounced in particular for the entire Advent weekend, which is shaped by uncomfortable weather. A large snow roller fails to do, but the combination of rain and cold nights ensures that snowfall can also be expected in the higher regions of Bavaria.

Especially in the coming days there may be dangerous road conditions. Especially in southern Germany, people have to expect a risk of slipping. From Monday, December 9th, the weather conditions will become even more extreme when the temperatures continue to drop and the snowfall limit decreases to 400 to 600 meters. This could also affect the state capital of Munich, where drivers and pedestrians have to expect slippery paths. The weather reports run over the entire weekend and thus give a wintry but also dangerous weather in Bavaria.
