Stuttgart conquers Silber in the city clerk - Munich remains unreachable!

Stuttgart has made an impressive jump forward in the latest urban ranking of the "Wirtschaftswoche" and secured the silver medal! But the Baden-Württemberg state capital remains on the heels of the eternal rival Munich, which again takes first place. Is Stuttgart condemned to only reach second place? The Cannstatter Wasen, the second largest folk festival in the world, and VfB Stuttgart as runner -up in the Bundesliga seem to confirm this question.

In the current edition of the ranking, which was published on November 15, Stuttgart even achieved pole position in the economic output category. The city landed in third place in the highly competitive section. Mayor Frank Nopper (CDU) expressed himself optimistically: "These reviews give rise to optimism, which has to be a lightwacher optimism in difficult times." Despite the positive development, the pressure to assert itself against Munich remains noticeable. The OB emphasizes that Stuttgart is on a very good way in many areas, but the competition with Munich remains a constant topic.

Stuttgart exceeds other metropolises

The "Wirtschaftswoche", the real estate portal ImmobilienScout24 and IW Consult have rated 72 cities with more than 100,000 inhabitants to find out where it is best to live and work. Stuttgart has left all other major German cities such as Berlin, Hamburg, Cologne and Frankfurt. Another study also shows that Stuttgart has risen to the start-up capital of Germany and has overtaken the hip Berlin. Another reason to joy for the Swabian metropolis, even if the shadow of Munich continues to hover.
