Commutor in Weilheim: Railway construction site ensures hours of trips!
Weilheim, Deutschland - The nerves of the commuters lie blank: Because of construction work between Starnberg and Munich, they had to switch to a nerve -wracking rail replacement traffic with express buses. The travelers from Weilheim who can no longer drive directly to Munich are affected. Instead, you have to get out of trains in Starnberg and change to buses that only hold on the Donnersberger Bridge once, but still need much longer than usual.
Denisa Maruntelu-Mîrza and Milana Marchenko, two young commuters, experience the drama up close. While you usually need about an hour for the way to Munich, you now expect almost two hours for your kickboxing training. "Of course we are often too late," explains Marchenko, and this is not only due to overcrowded buses, but also due to poor information about the stops. "You can't find the stop there" - a frustration that is more than painful!

For many, rail replacement traffic is a real dilemma. Unpunctuality during interviews or important dates can have fatal consequences. Denisa is desperate: "I will have to go three hours earlier" to be safe in Munich. Her experiences are alarming- when you visit a friend in Memmingen, she needed a total of six hours to return! What a disaster!
But there is hope! The situation should relax from Sunday, because then regular train traffic between Weilheim and Munich will be restored, and rail replacement traffic is a thing of the past - at least for this part of the route. A ray of hope for annoyed commuters!
