Mega concert in the Olympic Stadium: Are the Rolling Stones coming to Munich?

München, Deutschland - In Munich, the rumor mill is bubbling: In the summer of 2025, a mega concert of the Rolling Stones may be on the scene in the Olympic Stadium. This is followed by a successful appearance by Taylor Swift in the summer of 2024, which attracted a large crowd. While the Olympic Stadium is temporarily closed due to construction work, there is currently speculation about a possible appearance of the legendary rock band.

So far, only Robbie Williams' appearance has been confirmed in the Olympic Stadium for July 26, 2025. The construction work is to be interrupted for this concert. According to the Olympic Park spokesman Tobias Kohler, other events are also being planned. However, the Olympic Stadium will be used for events until September 2025, while extensive renovation work takes place in parallel. These include the renewal of heating, ventilation and sanitary facilities as well as security upgrades.

The Rolling Stones could therefore appear on July 12, 2025 in the Olympic Stadium, as reported. In the period after the closure of the Olympic Stadium, the Allianz Arena will serve as an alternative location, where, for example, a concert by Helene Fischer is planned in the summer of 2026.

In addition to the speculated Rolling Stones events, further events for 2025 are scheduled in Munich. These include the largest building in the world, the Bauma, from April 7th to 13th, the UEFA Champions League final on May 31, and the International Automobile Exhibition IAA Mobility, which takes place from September 9th to 14th. The Munich Opera Festival also celebrates a special anniversary: they are 150 years old.

The comprehensive renovation work at the Olympic Stadium is to begin in autumn 2025, with a planned completion in June 2027. The Olympics, which has been closed since June 2024, is expected to be opened a year earlier.
