On Friday evening, October 4, 2024, there was an incident in Unterföhring that ended with a firecracker in an Asian restaurant. At 8:30 p.m. the explosive device was detonated in the entrance area, which damaged several tiles. Fortunately, no people were injured during the action, although some guests were in the restaurant. Scaled investigations led to the arrest of an 18-year-old suspect from the northern Munich district. The case was handed over to Commissioner 13, which is now also determined for suspicion of making an explosive explosion.

In the first case, the back entrance door of a shop in Moosach was broken up from Wednesday to Friday. The perpetrators stole a cash drawer with several hundred euros in cash and fled. The second incident in Untermenzing shows more effort: First, the burglars failed when trying to break up a side delivery door. Finally, they managed to access through a window, but without making prey. Here, too, the investigators are looking for witnesses who can provide relevant information.

Seriously injured was a pedestrian in Isarvorstadt when an ambulance caught him on Sunday, October 6th, at 00:15 a.m. The 41-year-old crossed Lindwurmstrasse when he was hit by the exterior mirror of the moving vehicle. He had serious injuries, but is danger of life outside. The emergency doctor transported him to a hospital while the road had to be closed for 1.5 hours.

Another remarkable incident occurred on October 5 in a shared apartment in Bogenhausen. A 67-year-old alerted the police because she was threatened with a knife by a roommate. Thanks to the rapid action of the emergency services, the 48-year-old suspect was arrested.

On the same weekend, there were also several arrests related to pickpockets during the Oktoberfest. Pockoplocks arrested several suspects from different countries in a marquee. These had stolen numerous objects from visitors and were released after the police measures have been completed.

Overall, the police were busy with various missions, including a larger number of civil servants for a peaceful pro-Palestine and pro-Israel demonstration in downtown Munich on October 6th. The police were deployed with over 400 officers, satisfied with the trouble -free course of both meetings.

Another important event is imminent: On Wednesday, October 9, a joint bicycle coding campaign by the ADFC and the police in Munich will take place, an initiative to prevent bicycle thefts, which is intended to be based on prevention as well as a quick assignment of stolen wheels.
